The Inaugural Joker Tournament (1000 Words)

This is our first ever contest! To celebrate this milestone we are making all entries FREE. That’s right, you don’t have to pay a thing. Just sign up, submit, judge, and then wait to see if you can claim one of four €100 prizes!

Note 1: If you win a joker card, they can be carried over into 2026. Joker cards can be used as a wildcard to complete any hand through 2026.

Note 2: We don’t have set divisions yet. So, this contest will sort you for future 1000 word contests. If you place in the top 5 of any of the 4 contests you’ll be put into the gold division. If you place in the middle 6 you’ll be put in the silver division, and the remaining contestants will be placed into bronze.

Note 3: There’ll be a break in judging over Christmas week. So the judging schedule will be as follows,

Dec 9-12: Round of 16 judging

Dec 13th-15th: Quarter Final judging

Dec 16th-19th: Semi Final judging

Dec 20th-28th: Christmas Break

Dec 29th-Jan 2nd: Final judging

Jan 2nd: Debrief opens

Jan 9th: Results.
